David
(He/him/his)
Instructor // DJ // INSTRUCTOR Coordinator
David dances all styles of swing, starting over 10 years ago with a simple East Coast Swing lesson. Now you can find him behind the DJ booth or teaching Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing (WCS), and everything in between. As a teacher, David strives to make dancing accessible to everyone. Like Dean Collins famously said, "there is no style, there is only Swing." David wants people moving to whatever music moves them.
As a DJ, David is always looking for new music to hopefully introduce a new favorite to dancers.

Hannah
(SHE/HER/HERS)
INSTRUCTOR
Hannah started dancing at a very young age (ballet, tap, jazz) but didn’t start swing dancing until high school. She started with East Coast swing dance and was introduced to Lindy Hop in college. She started pursuing Lindy Hop more seriously in 2019 when she started dancing at Rapid Rhythms and has really enjoyed getting to know the rich history and classic moves while also learning how to express herself through this art form. Hannah has been part of the Rapid Rhythms performance team multiple times and loves how it helps build skills, confidence, and camaraderie amongst our community. In 2023 Hannah started getting more into Balboa, which is currently her favorite swing dance style

When she’s not dancing, Hannah enjoys reading, gardening, binging the latest Netflix series, or planning her next trip.

Sarah Beth (SB)
(SHE/HER/HERS)
nstructor // dj // Performance Team Coach //
media designer
Sarah Beth fell hard for vernacular jazz in 2015 and hasn't looked back since. Lindy Hop is her first love, but she can often be found solo jammin'.
SB firmly believes dancing is for everybody and every body. She is always looking for new ways to approach ideas and push students to the next level. SB's classes are known for their energy, analogies, and encouragement.

IKE
(He/him/his)
Instructor // DJ // Media coordinator
Ike is an experienced instructor, DJ, and organizer for Rapid Rhythms.

SCOTT
(He/him/his)
Instructor // Performance Team Coach
Scott caught the Lindy Hop bug in 2014 and hasn't stopped dancing since. For many years he has been spreading the love of the dance at every opportunity. Teaching classes, coaching the performance team, and traveling to learn and perform have been the highlights of every year. Scott loves dancing Lindy Hop, Balboa, Charleston, and St. Louis Shag, among others.

Sammi
(SHE/THEY)
Instructor // photographer // business Admin
Sammi didn’t grow up with dance, but her first foray into dance was a one-off series of hip-hop classes in middle school. Sammi rediscovered their love for the craft after moving for college in 2013.
Outside of teaching, Sammi is a highly-regarded dance photographer, having captured images at a wide variety of dance events. Some of these events include Lindy Focus, Nevermore Jazz Ball, Whistlestop, Great Lakes Balboa Escape, and many more across the Midwest and beyond.
Sammi’s work both in the studio and behind the lens is guided by a simple philosophy: making people feel confident and comfortable in themselves and their movement, with a commitment to authenticity, community, and the beauty of human connection.
