Come have fun, make friends, and learn vintage swing dancing at Rapid Rhythms’ Beginner’s Swing Dance Night!
This event will feature a beginner’s swing dance class covering the fundamentals of Lindy Hop, an iconic style of swing dance from the late 1920's, and then a social dance afterwards where you can relax, meet people, and have a great time!
Never danced before? Don't have a partner? No problem - there's no experience or partner necessary, so come give dancing a try!
Time: 7-8PM on Monday, May 4th

Level 1 ClassES

New to swing dancing or Lindy Hop? These are the classes for you!
Our Level 1 classes are designed to get you comfortable with the basics of Lindy Hop and Charleston, two of the original swing dances.
Level 1 Classes will cover the following topics over the course of four months:

Six Count Lindy Hop
-
Eight Count Lindy Hop
-
Charleston Basics OR Solo Jazz Basics (alternates)
Prerequisites: None!

Level 2 classes
Monday Nights from 6 - 7pm | Moveir Dance Studio | $10
Our Level 2 is all about building off of the basics taught in the Level 1 Classes and exploring individuality and creativity in swing dancing.
Level 2 classes cover mixing six and eight count Lindy Hop. swing outs and swing out variations, and other styles of swing dancing such as Balboa, Vernacular Jazz, and Charleston.
Prerequisites: You have gone through all of the Level 1 Classes (or equivalent classes at other studios / scenes) and can comfortably execute the movements taught in those classes

Practice what you learned in class or just come and jam with us! Our DJs play a variety of swung tunes that work for Lindy Hop, vernacular solo jazz, Charleston, various shag dances, and balboa.
